SUNNINGDALE GC (par 72 - 6,533 yards) -
Ranked #38 in the world by Golf Magazine.
The most famous round was Bobby Jones’ in
1926: 33 putts and 33 other shots. WWG
Grade: A+
WENTWORTH GC (par 74 - 6,997 yards) - Ranked
#99 in the world by Golf Magazine. Arnold
Palmer has rated the 17th, a 555 yard par
five the best long hole in Britain. WWG
Grade: A
WALTON HEATH GC (2 courses Old and New) -
Old is ranked
#81 in the world by Golf Magazine but both
courses are superb and former site of The
Ryder Cup. WWG Grade: A
ROYAL ST. GEORGES GC (6857 yards - par 70) -
Ranked #39 in the world by Golf Magazine. he first course to host the British Open
outside of Scotland, producing the first
victory by an English professional. WWG

THE BELFRY (Brabazon Course 6975 yards - par 73)
The Ryder Cup matches have been played here in
1985, 1989, 1993 and 2002. WWG Grade A- (located
in "The Midlands", near Birmingham)

ROYAL LYTHAM & ST. ANNES GC (par 71 - 6,637
yards) - Founded in 1886, ranked #62 in the
world by Golf Magazine. It was here in 1926
where Bobby Jones won the first of this
three Opens in Britain. WWG Grade: A
ROYAL BIRKDALE GC (6940 yards - par 70) In
the last 30 years, no club has hosted more
major events, with the last being the 1998
British Open won by Mark O’Meara. A classic
links, ranked #30 in the world. WWG Grade: A+
SOUTHPORT & AINSDALE GC (6612 yards - par
72) Located outside of Southport, this
course is used as a British Open qualifying
course. The course layout was planned by
James Braid in 1923. WWG Grade: A-
ROYAL LIVERPOOL GC (7110 yards - par 72) The
western Liverpool suburb of Hoylake is were
this historic golf course is located, ranked
#80 in the world. In
1930 Bobby Jones won the British Open here,
the second leg of his Grand Slam. WWG Grade:
A
FORMBY GC (6695 yards - par 72) Located in
the North West part of England. In 1957 the
Royal and Ancient Golf Club chose it for the
British Amateur, an honor they have since
bestowed a couple more times, the last
winner being Jose-Maria Olazabal. WWG Grade:
A-
HILLSIDE GC (6518 yards - par 71) – A very
nice seaside links that is annual home to
Birtish Open qualifying. Because it’s
located so close to Birkdale, it’s often
overshadowed by it’s more famous neighbor.
