Jamaica Golf Packages

Overview

This world- class destination offers the discerning traveler a variety of options and is considered one of the most idyllic islands of the Caribbean. You’ll find a range of activities and interests from soothing yourself in the beauty of the clear blue refreshing Caribbean Sea to traversing the historical sites steeped in rich heritage or relaxing at one of the resort spas.  For the sports enthusiast, the island offers an array of sporting activities including championship golf, eco-tours through the dense jungle as well as jeep safari tours. Rose Hall basks in Jamaica’s world famous weather, which averages between 80° to 90° year round.

Rose Hall is a 5,000-acre area of rare beauty just north of Montego Bay, Jamaica. This exclusive portion of the island is named for the Rose Hall Plantation, a major sugar cane plantation dating back several centuries. Today, the land that was once the Rose Hall Plantation is now home to four world-class resort destinations.

Golf Courses

The Rose Hall, Jamaica area has three world-class golf courses – the White Witch, Half Moon Golf Club and Cinnamon Hill Ocean Course, each a little different but all high caliber. Each course has experienced caddies with local knowledge, as well as practice facilities and golf instruction available from golf professionals.

Cinnamon Hill at the Rose Hall Resort & Country Club is the sister course to the White Witch, both courses were designed by Robert Von Hagge. The lush layout runs through the ruins of the 18th-century sugar plantation that used to stand on the property, including aqueducts, tombstones and above ground tombs. Amazing views are par-for-the-course, starting along the beach and moving up into the green mountains and valleys. The par-71, 6,637 yard layout is a solid test of golf and a picturesque site for enjoying the natural beauty of Jamaica and Barrons’ has named Cinnamon Hill one of the top three courses in the Caribbean, and Golf Digest has ranked it as one of Jamaica’s top courses as well.

White Witch GC is carved out of 600 acres of lush greenery and rolling countryside, featuring panoramic views of the Caribbean sea from 16 of its 18 holes. The 6,719-yard course plays to a par 71 and is characterized by mountainous terrain, cool tradewinds, colorful foliage and spectacular ocean views from most holes. Many holes are designed with elevated tee boxes, giving you the chance to watch your shots sail out over the beautiful surroundings. Considered one of the finest golf courses in the Caribbean, it was named by its creators, golf course architects Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril, after the 19th century beauty, Annie Palmer, who owned the 4,000-acre sugar plantation on which the course stands. The facility’s “golf concierge” program includes trained forecaddies with extensive local knowledge of the course, one of many golfer-friendly services offered by the White Witch staff. You’ll want to listen to your caddies, especially on some of the tricky blind shots.

Half Moon Club features undulating greens, demanding holes challenging drives and breathtaking vistas, all part of the newly renovated, award-winning, par-72 championship course designed by architect Robert Trent Jones. Recently renovated by Roger Rulewich, the course features newly-aligned, multiple tee complexes as well as repositioned fairway and greenside bunkers.
