Medinah CC

Dating back to 1991, Wide World of Golf & Premier Golf are the only companies licensed by the PGA of America asexclusive distributors of Ryder Cup packages. Medinalh CC dates back to the early 1920’s when a group of Shriners from Chicago’s Medinah Temple had a dream to create club. Their goal was to build the best country club in North America with a 54-hole golf complex and a variety of other recreational activities. After obtaining land in an area then known as Meacham, in northern DuPage County, Tom Bendelow (a world-renowned golf course architect from Scotland) was hired to build and design the courses. In September of 1925, the Shriners enjoyed their first round of golf at Medinah on Course #1. Construction on Course #2 was completed a year later and Course #3 was completed in 1928, but was the subject of a major redesign in the early 1930’s. Since then, Medinah has hosted two PGA Championships, three U.S. Opens, one U.S. Senior Open and three Western Opens.

Medinah CC will be a fitting venue in 2012 for golf’s greatest event.
