Hill Country Golf

Austin and San Antonio in the Hill Country of central Texas boast some excellent resorts and daily fee courses for visitors.  In addition, the nightlife and restaurants provide for superb "apres golf" activities after soaking up the sun on the fairways. 

Barton Creek Resort in Austin has four very good courses: Canyons by Tom Fazio, Foothills by Fazio, Crenshaw by Ben Crenshaw and Lakeside by Arnold Palmer.  The five star resort has nice views over the Austin hills and all the amenities you could wish for, including close proximity to the downtown vibrant nightlife. 

The Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort is a family oriented destination about 20 miles SE of downtown Austin, with the very solid Wolfdancer GC onsite.  This is a real escape and a perfect place to recharge the batteries.

The TPC San Antonio has two courses at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort. Home of the PGA Tour Valero Texas Open, the the AT&T Canyons Course, designed by Pete Dye and Bruce Lietzke, and the AT&T Oaks Course designed by Greg Norman and Sergio Garcia.
