Four Great Golf Courses

WHISTLING STRAITS COURSE - The Straits Course crosses rugged dunes and the walking-only, links-style course is carved from two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline. A very tough golf course created by Pete Dye, Whistling Straits was ranked #3 in Golf Digest's ranking of America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses for 2011/2012. This course hosted the 2010 PGA Championship won by Martin Kaymer (remember Dustin Johnson's club grounding penalty in the "bunker"), and the 2004 PGA won by Vijay Singh in a playoff. Straits is also scheduled to host the 2015 PGA Championship and the 2020 Ryder Cup Matches. Great caddies are available. IRISH LINKS - Just inland from the Lake Michigan and cut by four meandering streams, the links and dunes aspect of the Irish Links brings thoughts of the Emerald Isle. Both traditional and memorable, the Irish is full of unique challenges. One of those courses said to use every club in the bag, and another walking only course with excellent caddies. RIVER COURSE - One of the most scenic destinations in North America, Blackwolf Run's River course "must be considered the nation's finest public-access course of modern times" according to GOLF Magazine. River Course at Blackwolf Run was ranked #16 on Golf Digest's Top 100 Rating and will host the 2012 U.S. Women's Open (a composite course with the Meadow). MEADOW COURSE - Meadow Valley is the fourth but not at all to be considered the inferior course at Blackwolf Run. Described as both subtle and devilish, it winds through beautiful meadows and across small hills, benefiting from the scenic features of the Wisconsin landscape. Meadow Valleys course at Blackwolf Run was ranked #60 in Golf Digest’s ranking of America's 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses for 2011/2012. In 2012, the Original Championship course, a composite course of the River and Meadow Valleys, will host the U.S. Women’s Open.
